YACI School of Computing Reopens in Makeni, Expands Training and Digital Services

Makeni, Sierra Leone – The YACI School of Computing has officially reopened its doors to the public at Shop 43, Makeni City Plaza, bringing renewed opportunities for digital skills training and professional computer services in the Northern Region.

The institution, located in the heart of Makeni, announced the resumption of its academic and technical programs aimed at equipping young people, professionals, and entrepreneurs with practical knowledge in information technology and digital innovation.

According to management, the school will continue to offer a wide range of professional courses, including Advanced Database Management covering Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), Microsoft Access (VBA), and MySQL. Other core areas include Website Design and Publishing with training in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and programming languages such as C++ and Visual Basic.

The school also provides training in Data Communication and Networking using Microsoft Windows Network (LAN), as well as Adobe Suite packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, and CorelDraw.

In addition to these programs, YACI School of Computing is introducing specialized courses in Artificial Intelligence and Android Mobile Application Development, reflecting the growing demand for tech-driven solutions in Sierra Leone and beyond.

Beyond academic instruction, the institution offers a broad range of computer training and professional services. These include desktop publishing, web designing, dissertation layout and printing, university portal applications, radio garden integration, photocopying, laminating, binding, scanning, logo design, letterheads, flyers, receipt books, brochures, proforma invoices, souvenirs, invitation and memorial cards, coloured printing, business cards, and other related services.

Management emphasized that the reopening is part of efforts to strengthen digital literacy and provide accessible ICT solutions to individuals and institutions across Makeni and surrounding districts.
