The discovery was first reported on Tuesday, July 22, by Paramount Chief Bai Bairoh N’Sheni III, who informed police in Makeni that an unidentified body had been found beneath a bridge on Kontobi Road in Mara Chiefdom. Makeni police, under the leadership of CSP Abu Bakaar Magona, immediately dispatched a team led by D/Sgt. Abu Bakarr Kargbo. Crime scene photos were taken, and the body was temporarily buried in Masethleh Village, with the grave marked for potential exhumation.
