What began as a suspected drowning in Rothonkoh Village has now taken a grim twist as police launch a full-scale murder investigation into the death of 15-year-old Ibrahim Tholley.

The discovery was first reported on Tuesday, July 22, by Paramount Chief Bai Bairoh N’Sheni III, who informed police in Makeni that an unidentified body had been found beneath a bridge on Kontobi Road in Mara Chiefdom.

Makeni police, under the leadership of CSP Abu Bakaar Magona, immediately dispatched a team led by D/Sgt. Abu Bakarr Kargbo. Crime scene photos were taken, and the body was temporarily buried in Masethleh Village, with the grave marked for potential exhumation.

Two days later, on Thursday, July 24, Alpha Kamara of Magbansor Village came forward, identifying the deceased as his younger brother, Ibrahim Tholley, and shockingly alleged that their father, Abdulai Kamara of Roballah Village, was involved in his death.

This prompted a rapid police response. A team led by D/ASP John GK. Williams and CSP Magona conducted extensive visits to Masethleh, Roballah, and nearby communities to gather evidence and question individuals connected to the case.

Seven persons have so far been brought in for questioning, including:
Abdulai Kamara – Father of the deceased
Hawa Sesay – Mara Town
Ibrahim Mohamed Kamara – Malanka Village
Pa Kapri Lawyer Koroma – Masuba Village
Osman Kamara, Ibrahim Kamara, and Abu Kamara – All from Roballah Village

Investigations are being handled by the CID Rogbaneh Division and are actively ongoing under the supervision of D/ASP Williams.
Beline Media Empire will continue monitoring developments and provide updates as the case unfolds.
